Investment Summer Analyst
As part of Prima Ekuiti’s multi-asset investment intern (advisor to Malaysia’s second-largest pension fund), I supported research across public equities, private equity, and real estate. In the public equity rotation, I focused on a full equity research report on Novo Nordisk, conducting valuation using DCF and EV/EBITDA, building detailed revenue forecasts, and benchmarking peers like Eli Lilly.
In the private equity rotation, I was introduced to fund strategies (buyout, VC, growth, secondaries), helped evaluate due diligence materials for GPs, and contributed to IC deck preparation, including ESG, track record, and risk-return analysis. I also attended LP-GP meetings and supported fund performance reporting.

Worked on real consulting projects for two clients.
1) For KeyBank USA, I led fixed-income portfolio research by building a database of 50+ US and European banks and analyzing trends across treasuries and CLOs.
2) For St Andrews Shuttle, I advised on pricing, branding, and digital strategy to boost student ridership. I also led a website revamp and data-backed marketing analysis. This experience deepened my skills in project management, client communication, and commercial strategy.
As part of the business development team, I focused on identifying strategic opportunities for MGRC’s CAR-T cell therapy division. I conducted in-depth SWOT, PESTLE, and VRIO analyses, benchmarked key competitors, and analysed 24 months of sales data to assess commercial traction. I also researched and profiled potential partner companies across Asia to support new collaboration efforts.
On top of that, I managed logistics for a major biotech industry event attended by over 25 experts, which helped grow MGRC’s partnership outreach by 15%. This experience strengthened my ability to turn research into strategy and collaborate across functions in a fast-paced life sciences environment.

Corporate Finance Intern
I supported the finance team by analysing over 20 financial statements, conducting variance analysis, and calculating key ratios to inform internal reporting and performance reviews. I also conducted light-touch company research to support early-stage partnership discussions.
The role gave me a strong grounding in financial modelling, attention to detail, and how finance supports operational decision-making. It also taught me how to communicate financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
