Selected as a consultant for a fixed-income portfolio analytics project with KeyBank, a top 20 U.S. bank. Working in a team of eight, I contribute to research and analysis supporting the bank’s trading and investment strategy. This role provides hands-on experience in business strategy, market research, and data analytics, allowing me to analyze industry trends, evaluate competitive positioning, and recommend solutions to enhance KeyBank’s operations and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

    • Conducted in-depth benchmarking of the Top 50 U.S. and Top 25 European banks, identifying trends in fixed-income portfolio strategies.

    • Researched industry best practices to enhance KeyBank’s structured products and corporate bond strategy.

    • Designed a structured database for fixed-income assets, ensuring traceability and usability for investment decision-making.

    • Developed a framework for asset classification, streamlining risk assessment and trade execution processes.

    • Applied quantitative analysis to assess portfolio risk, evaluating exposure to Treasuries, CLOs, ABS, and corporate bonds.

    • Identified inefficiencies in KeyBank’s existing fixed-income portfolio structure, providing actionable recommendations.

    • Presented key findings and strategic insights to KeyBank executives, refining investment strategies based on client needs.

    • Worked cross-functionally with industry professionals to align portfolio analytics with market demands.
